So, before I purchased Ernie, I showed the Kijiji pictures to one of the other guys on the tractor forum, who said “looks like its got a leaking rear seal”.
“How can you tell?”
“There’s oil stains on the tire.”
Well, the previous owner HAD redone the transaxle, I was told… And I didn’t see any signs of leaks when we drove out to purchase it…
Then last night, I was wandering around in the garage and went by Ernie’s left rear wheel…
Uh oh... Looks like I have a problem!
